  • 2013 Biedermann Brass Ornament

This year's ornament is the second in a series begun a couple of years ago based on the theme "most popular Christmas songs". The first one was "Chestnuts Roasting on an open fire" and this year is "Happy Christmas" by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. The wording is from the last line of the song as they sung it, "War is over, if you want it"!

  • 2016 Biedermann Ornament

The 2016 Biedermann ornament is inspired by an old German fable about a lost boy who shows up one night at the door of a forester and his family. They take the child in, and during the night hear angels caroling. In the morning the lost boy appears as Jesus, and to show his thanks for taking him in, he plucks a branch off of a fir tree and brings it to the family as a gift. The legend says this is how the tradition of Christmas trees began.
